Cinderella was a popular 1980s American glam metal band from Philadelphia, known for blending hard rock with blues-influenced, gritty vocals and melodic ballads. Led by singer-songwriter Tom Keifer, the band achieved massive success with hits like “Nobody’s Fool” and “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone),” selling over 15 million records.

• Formation & Members: Formed in 1983, the classic lineup featured Tom Keifer (vocals/guitar), Jeff LaBar (guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass), and Fred Coury (drums).
• Rise to Fame: Discovered by Jon Bon Jovi, the band signed with Polygram and released their triple-platinum debut album, Night Songs (1986), which showcased their signature high-energy rock.
• Musical Style: While often grouped with 80s “hair metal” due to their look, Cinderella was distinguished by a stronger blues influence, particularly on their follow-up album, Long Cold Winter (1988).
• Rise & Decline: The band’s career was hindered in the 1990s by personal issues, musical industry changes, and severe vocal cord injuries to Keifer.
• Final Years: After a 1996 reunion, they toured periodically but did not release new studio material, with the band becoming inactive after 2014 and finally dissolving after guitarist Jeff LaBar’s death in 2021.
