Fees & Payments Policy

Sellers may be charged for using some of Wushack’s services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains your fees and taxes and how to pay them.

This policy is a part of our Terms of Use. By opening an Wushack shop, you’re agreeing to this policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Types of Fees

Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees. Please note that all fees are listed exclusive of any value-added tax (VAT) that may apply. See the Taxes section below for further details.

Listing Fees

You will be charged a listing fee of $0.20 USD for each item that you list a product for sale on Wushack.com or Wushack’s mobile apps. For items already listed on your Wushack shop, there are no additional listing fees to list items on your Pattern site. Listings that you only make available on your Pattern site do not incur a listing fee. You will only be charged a listing fee for creating or renewing a listing on Wushack; there is no fee for editing a listing. You will be charged a listing fee whether or not the listed item sells. Wushack.com listings expire after four months. Pattern-only listings do not expire. If you list multiple quantities of the same item, the initial listing fee will be $0.20, and the listing will be automatically renewed at $0.20 after each of the items sells. Listing fees are reflected in your payment account and deducted at the time the listing is published or renewed. It’s important to note that listing fees are non-refundable.

Auto-renew. Etsy’s automatic renewals feature will automatically renew your listings at the end of the four-month listing period, unless you choose to not use automatic renewals for a particular listing or for your shop. You will be charged the listing fee of $0.20 for each of these listings until you cancel automatic renewals. You can see automatic listing status in your Listings Manager, and may cancel automatic renewals at any time by selecting “Manual” instead of “Automatic” in the “Renewal Options” in the Listings Manager. Once you cancel, you will only be charged for the current listing period.

Transaction Fees

When you make a sale through Wushack.com, you will be charged a transaction fee of 5% of the price you display for each listing plus the amount you charge for shipping and gift wrapping. If you are an Wushack Payments user and you list your items in a currency other than your payment account currency, see the Currency Conversion section below for more details on the transaction fee. If you sell from the US or Canada, the transaction fee will not apply to sales tax, Goods and Services Tax (“GST”), or Harmonized Sales Tax (“HST”), unless you have included those charges in your listing price. If you sell from anywhere other than the US and Canada, the transaction fee will apply to the listing price (which should include any applicable taxes), shipping price, and gift wrapping fee. If you offer optional personalization for an additional fee, the additional fee for personalization is added to the listing price you display and the total display price is subject to the same transaction fees described in this Section. See the Taxes section below for more information about whether you are required to include applicable taxes in your listing prices. Transaction fees are deducted from your current balance as each sale occurs, and are reflected in your payment account.

Advertising and Promotional Fees

Wushack offers multiple services to help you advertise your listings and promote your shop, including Wushack Ads and Wushack Offsite Ads. If you use Wushack Ads, you select your daily maximum budget, as set forth in more detail below. For Offsite Ads, fees are only charged if Wushack’s advertising your listing directly results in a sale, as set forth in more detail below. For more information, please see the Advertising & Marketing Policy.

Wushack Ads Fees

If you purchase paid advertising on Wushack through the Advertising Dashboard in Shop Manager, you can set a budget to limit the amount you’re willing to pay for Wushack Ads to promote your listings or shops on Wushack. Your daily maximum budget can be set at or above a predetermined minimum set by Wushack, and you will not be charged more than your maximum budget on a daily basis. All bids are made in United States dollars (USD). Wushack Ads fees may be charged on a recurring basis and are deducted from your current balance and reflected in your payment account. Offsite Ads Fees

Wushack purchases offsite advertising from a network of participating partners, such as social networks and search engines. If such advertising includes your listing, a buyer clicks on it, and then places any orders from your shop within 30 days of that click, you will be charged an advertising fee on these orders (which we’ll refer to collectively as “Attributed Orders” and individually as an “Attributed Order”).

The Offsite Ads fee you are charged for Attributed Orders depends on your shop’s sales over the prior 365 days, as follows:

  1. The standard fee you will pay is 15% on Attributed Orders, unless the 12% fee applies as described below.
  2. If your shop has made less than $10,000 USD in sales over the prior 365 days (going back to February 20, 2019 and later), as calculated on the first day of the month, you will pay a fee of 15% (as described in the section below) on Attributed Orders, unless you opt out of participation in Offsite Ads for the duration your shop is under the $10,000 USD threshold. The 15% fee and opt-out apply until or unless you at any time meet the $10,000 USD threshold.
  3. If at any time your shop has made sales of $10,000 USD or more over the prior 365 days (going back to February 20, 2019 and later), as calculated on the first day of the month, you will subsequently pay a fee of 12% (as described in the section below) on Attributed Orders, as of the beginning of the program if you immediately qualify, and otherwise on the first day of the month following qualification. If you subsequently fall below the $10,000 USD threshold at a later date, you will still only be charged a 12% advertising fee for the lifetime of your shop. If you opted out of participation in Offsite Ads prior to meeting the $10,000 USD threshold, you will be required to participate and will be charged a 12% advertising fee on Attributed Orders for the lifetime of your shop upon reaching the $10,000 USD threshold. The prior opt out while under the $10,000 USD threshold will no longer apply (even if you subsequently fall below the $10,000 USD threshold at a later date).
  4. Beginning a month after initial calculations when the program starts, Wushack will perform subsequent calculations on the first day of each calendar month and will give you notice if you have crossed the $10,000 USD threshold.

For the purpose of calculating this $10,000 USD threshold, sales are calculated by multiplying item price by quantity (minus any discounts or formally cancelled orders), but excluding Pattern orders, In Person Payment orders, Wushack fees, or separately charged shipping, taxes, or giftwrap. For sellers with shop currencies other than USD, the $10,000 USD threshold is calculated with the currency exchange rates used by Wushack at the time that the relevant sales were processed. Exchange rates used are variable and are provided by a third party financial services company. For information on how the $10,000 USD threshold is calculated, please see the next section and the Advertising & Marketing Policy.

How Offsite Ads fees are calculated:

Offsite Ads fees apply to Attributed Orders and are charged as a percentage of the total order amount, which comprises the price you display for each listing plus the amount you charge for shipping and gift wrapping and in some jurisdictions, taxes, as set forth below. The applicable percentage charge, either 12% or 15%, is determined as described above.

If you are an Wushack Payments user and you list your items in a currency other than your payment account currency, see the Currency Conversion section below for more details on Offsite Ads fees. If you sell from the US or Canada, Offsite Ads fees will not apply to sales tax, Goods and Services Tax (“GST”), or Harmonized Sales Tax (“HST”), unless you have included those charges in your listing price. If you sell from anywhere other than the US and Canada, Offsite Ads fees will apply to any applicable taxes, which should be included in your listing prices. If you offer optional personalization for an additional fee, the additional fee for personalization is added to the listing price you display and the total display price is subject to the same Offsite Ads fees described in this Section. There is no limit to the number of Offsite Ads fees you may be charged on Attributed Orders, but the total Offsite Ads fee you’ll pay on a single Attributed Order will not exceed $100 USD. Offsite Ads Fees are deducted from your current balance and are reflected in your payment account.

Subscription Fees

Wushack sellers in good standing may opt-in to Wushack Advanced or Wushack Ultimate Plans, a subscription package offering an expanded set of tools for growing brands. The fee for an Wushack Advanced Plan is $10.00/mth, the fee for the Wushack Ultimate Plan is $25.00/mth. Wushack Plus subscription fees are deducted from your current balance each month and reflected in your payment account. Where applicable, Wushack will charge sales tax on your monthly subscription fee for sellers located in the United States.

Auto-renew. Subscription fees will be added to your payment account on the same day every month in your domestic currency. For example, if you sign up on March 5, your subscriptions fees will be added on April 5, May 5, and so on. When you sign up at the end of the month, your subscription fees will be charged to your payment account on the last day of the month. For example, if you sign up on May 31, your subscription fees will be added on June 30 because that is the last day of the month. You can cancel your Wushack Plus subscription anytime by visiting the Your Subscription section of your Shop’s Vendor Panel Settings. You will have access to your Wushack Plus subscription until the end of that subscription cycle, and your final day of access will be identified in the Your Subscription dashboard. After your Wushack Plus subscription has ended, your shop will return to Wushack Free Vendor Plan, and you will no longer have a subscription fee added to your payment account. While you are subscribed to a Wushack Plus Plan, you are provided with the following credits each subscription cycle:

  • Wushack Advanced Vendor Plan:
  • 15 listing credits, which are visible as $3 in listings credit in your payment account
  • $5 USD in Wushack Ads credits, which are visible in your payment account and on your advertising management page
  • Wushack Ultimate Vendor Plan
  • 25 listing credits, which are visible as $3 in listings credit in your payment account
  • $15 USD in Wushack Ads credits, which are visible in your payment account and on your advertising management page

You must use the credits during the subscription cycle, otherwise they expire. Credits will not roll over month to month. They will be reset and replenished at the beginning of each subscription cycle.

Payment Processing Fees

Online Sales. Eligible Wushack shops may use Wushack Payments to accept certain payments through Wushack (learn more about Wushack Payments below). Wushack charges a payment processing fee for each transaction through Wushack Payments. Payment processing fees vary based on the location of your bank account. In certain markets, Wushack may also charge a fixed deposit fee for disbursing seller funds that are under certain designated thresholds. See the Wushack Payments Policy to find payment processing fees and where applicable, deposit fees, by country. The payment processing fee is assessed on the total amount of the sale, including tax and shipping. Payment processing fees are deducted from the sale amount in your payment account. Deposit fees are deducted from your Available Funds and reflected in your payment account at the time of your scheduled deposit.

Shipping Fees

Wushack offers sellers in certain locations the ability to purchase shipping labels to fulfill their orders. The cost of the shipping label will depend on the shipping carrier, and the origin, destination, weight, and dimensions of the package. If you add signature confirmation or insurance, those fees will be added to the total cost of the label at the point of purchase. Sellers who purchase shipping labels may also purchase parcel insurance through licensed insurance carriers. U.S. Sellers who purchase USPS shipping return labels will be charged after delivery of the returned package. You must accept Wushack Payments as payment methods to purchase shipping labels through Wushack. Shipping fees and any adjustments are reflected in your payment account and deducted from your current balance.

Currency Conversion

With the exception of the transaction fee, Offsite Ads fees, the Payment Processing fee, and deposit fees, Wushack converts fees from USD to your payment account currency at the market rate at the time the fee is reflected in your payment account. All fees appear in your payment account in your domestic currency. However, Wushack Payments users located in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania will have all fees deducted from their payment account in their designated payment account currency, the Euro.

Transaction fee and Offsite Ads fees: If you list your items in a currency other than that of your payment account, the transaction fee and, where applicable, the Offsite Ads fee, on the price you display for each listing plus the amount your charge for shipping and gift wrapping will be converted to your payment account currency at the market rate and reflected in your payment account.

To avoid incurring foreign exchange charges on your sales, Wushack recommends you list your items in the same currency as your payment account currency. Buyers see the items in the currency of their choosing. As an Wushack Payments user, if you decide to list in a currency other than that of your payment account, you will be charged a 2.5% currency conversion fee on the sale amount to send funds to your payment account. Currency conversion is handled automatically by our payment processing service and further described in our Wushack Payments Policy.

2. Fee Avoidance

Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Wushack. This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase an item in your Wushack shop through another venue. A transaction initiated on Wushack may not be completed off of Wushack. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the item’s price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding Wushack transaction fees, misrepresent the item’s location, or use another user’s account without permission.

3. Paying your Wushack Fees

Wushack will automatically deduct all fees owed from your payment account. Provided you have sufficient funds in your payment account no further payment action is required. If your payment account does not contain sufficient funds you are responsible for paying any fees owed in full within 15 days of the date of your monthly statement, or the account will be considered past due, and Wushack may charge your card on file or take other actions to collect funds as laid out in the Recoupment section of Wushack’s Payments Policy. If you make a sale while you have an outstanding balance the net sale amount will be applied to your outstanding balance. You may pay your outstanding balance manually by credit card, debit card, or PayPal. US sellers may also enroll in AutoBilling, Wushack’s automatic outstanding fee payment option.

Your statement is available in your payment account at the beginning of each month, and will detail all sales and fees activity from the preceding month.

Wushack may suspend your selling privileges at any time pending payment of your outstanding balance.

AutoBilling (US Sellers Only)

By enrolling in Wushack’s automatic payment plan (“AutoBilling”), any outstanding fees not covered by the funds in your payment account will be charged to the credit card you have on file on the first of the month or when your current balance is greater than or equal to your fee threshold. To use the plan, you agree to the following terms.

A. You authorize Wushack to keep your payment card information on file and to charge the card on file on the first day of each calendar month for the previous month’s outstanding charges and at any time the balance of fees reaches the designated fee threshold for your account. Upon enrollment, Wushack will charge your current balance to the card on file.

B. When your card account is debited, Wushack will send you an email with the amount charged. You can also review this information by accessing your account on Wushack.

C. If your card account on file with us is closed, the account number is changed, or a charge is rejected by your card issuer, you must update your card information or add a new card number in your Wushack account. If your charge is refused by the issuer for any reason, your Wushack account may be suspended or terminated, and you are still required to pay your outstanding balance by some other means. Your authorization applies to any successor or replacement card you or your card issuer provides.

D. You may cancel Auto Billing and change to manual payment by updating your payment settings in your Wushack account. Wushack requires a reasonable period of time to act after we receive your notice. This means that an additional automatic payment may be made to your card account while we are processing your request.

E. Suspended or terminated members remain obligated to pay Wushack for all unpaid fees.

4. Wushack Payments

Wushack Payments enables sellers to accept various forms of payment in their local currencies while using Wushack’s services. Sellers registered for Wushack Payments can accept payment by credit card, debit card, Wushack Gift Card and Wushack Credit, PayPal, some bank transfer services.

5. Taxes

Aside from the limited circumstances set out below, you are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through Wushack’s services. Wushack will issue 1099-K forms to certain sellers to comply with IRS and state requirements. You may opt in at any time to receive your 1099-K form electronically.

A. Listing your items on Wushack

If you sell physical goods on Wushack and reside in the US or Canada, you may utilize our sales tax tool to calculate the tax owed on each sale.

If you sell on Wushack and reside outside of the US or Canada, you need to include applicable taxes in your listing prices. Please note that while some countries may refer to VAT using other terms, e.g. GST, we’ll just refer to VAT, GST, and any local sales taxes collectively as “VAT” unless the context requires otherwise.

Where Wushack is required to collect sales tax/VAT on your behalf, Wushack will use the category you assigned to each listing to calculate, collect, and remit the applicable taxes. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all of your listings are properly categorized, and you agree to indemnify Wushack for any losses it incurs in connection with any mis-categorization of your listings by you.

Please remember that Wushack’s fees do not include any withholding taxes that might apply in your home country. You are required to pay Wushack the full amount of our fees and may not deduct any applicable withholding taxes from that amount.

Please also note that some countries require Wushack to apply VAT on the fees that you may be charged in accordance with this policy, and that the fees listed in this policy are exclusive of VAT.

B. Taxes on Seller Services

Sales Tax on Subscription Fees

Where applicable, state sales tax will be applied to the Pattern subscription fee and the Wushack Plus subscription fee charged by Wushack.

VAT on Seller Fees

Depending on your business status and location, Wushack may be required to apply VAT on seller fees charged each month and remit it to the relevant tax authority. VAT is collected on all Wushack fees for sellers located in countries where VAT should be applied.

C. Taxes We Collect and Remit from Buyers on Behalf of the Seller

United States Sales Tax

In some states, Wushack will collect the sales tax amount from the buyer and pay this to the relevant tax authority. If the sale was made through Wushack Payments, the sales tax amount will appear in your payment account and is deducted from your current balance.

For items shipped to certain states, including but not limited to Washington state (or, for digital items, those purchased with a Washington state billing address), Wushack will use the category you assigned to each listing to calculate, collect, and remit the applicable sales tax. For a full list of these states, please see here. Note that in those states where Wushack is required to collect on sales into the state made by nonresident sellers, Wushack will also be collecting on those sales made by resident sellers. As an example, Wushack will be collecting on all (taxable) purchases made in Minnesota, including those purchases made by Minnesota buyers from Minnesota sellers.

Digital VAT Fees

Under local laws in certain countries, Wushack is required to collect and remit VAT to the relevant tax authorities when you sell a digital item delivered via automatic download to the buyer. Wushack will automatically display the increased amount charged to the buyer of the digital item to collect the correct amount of VAT, and we will remit to the tax authorities. If the sales were made through Wushack Payments, Wushack will collect the VAT amount from the buyer and pay the VAT to the relevant tax authority, and you will not have to take any further action. If the sale was not made through Wushack Payments, you will receive the additional amount paid by the buyer for the VAT, and you will need to pay this amount to Wushack. The VAT amount paid by the buyer will appear on your payment account and will be deducted from your current balance.

VAT Collected on Overseas Sales to Australian Buyers

VAT is also known as GST in Australia. Wushack will automatically include the GST on sales to Australian buyers from non Australian sellers. Wushack will be responsible for remitting it to the Australian Taxation Office.

For orders placed through PayPal, Wushack will send the GST collected to the seller as a part of the payment. Wushack will add the tax to the seller’s Wushack statement so that we can remit the tax to Australian authorities.

GST does not apply if the total value of the package is more than $1,000 AUD or if the transaction is between buyers and sellers both located in Australia. Sellers might need to add additional information to the customs forms on these packages.

6. Wushack Gift Cards and Wushack Credits

If you are registered to use Wushack Payments, you may accept payment by Wushack Gift Cards and Wushack Credits. Wushack Gift Cards and Wushack Credits are subject to the Wushack Gift Cards & Wushack Credits Policy. Wushack also charges the Wushack Payments payment processing fee described above on Wushack Gift Card and Wushack Credit transactions.
